Background
More and more rivers and seas are polluted by a lot of wasteWater discharged from our daily waste and factory pollution. Treating and organising wastewater has become a critically serious role for human beings to ensure survival. The key to success is to keep these wastewater pumping systems automated. Especially for remote monitoring, most wastewater treatment systems are located in remote areas. The wastewater controller manufacturer came to NavigateWorx to get the most suitable solution. After getting a clearer picture of their application and technical requirement, the NavigateWorx Expert Team was organised immediately to provide the wastewater controller manufacturer with a complete Cellular Communication Solution.
Project Technical Highlights
– The router has to be industrial-grade in order to work in an extremely harsh environment.
– Secure and reliable communication between the remote PLC and the SCADA centre is required.
– Allow engineers to remote access the PLC for different kinds of programming and also allow them to collect the sensor data remotely through our cellular router.
– Need to use a secure tunnel by encrypting the data with the AES-128 hashing algorithm. After installation, everything has to be smooth and stable to save Labor forces.
Solution
After getting a clear picture of the application, we came out with the solution in a short period, and our NR500-S3G was proud to be selected for this application. Multiple sensors are connected to our RS485 via the Controllers and send the data to the SCADA centre. Besides, the PLC was connected to our Ethernet Ports, and all data goes out to the SCADA centre by our 3G HSPA+ network. Tens of units are deployed in the field, and after months of testing, they are approved due to the trustability and reliability of our router. Now, the controller manufacturer is negotiating with us for a Frame Contract to standardise our Solution for their whole product line and solutions. We’re looking forward to establishing a Global Partnership Contract with them, and we are looking to contribute as much as possible to the Waste Water Treatment System and bring more benefits to human beings.
